Greatness

Reflecting today on the spirit of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., I am reminded of what Dr. King said about greatness: ". . . everybody can be great because everybody can serve . . ."

We should challenge ourselves, our friends, our family to serve. There are many needs that face our community. While the new year is still new and resolutions are still in the forefront of our minds, please take whatever time and energy you can spare to serve and help our community.

Finally, today at 5:00 p.m. is the annual MLK, Jr. citywide celebration at the Reeve Memorial Union (tickets are required, contact Kelli at 303-2265 ext 20 for availability). There is also a peaceful march beginning at 3:00 p.m. at Opera House Square followed by a discussion at the Reeve Memorial Union (no ticket required).

Long live the dream of Dr. King.

-Bryan
