PAR Group Recommended As Search Firm

The City Recruitment Consultant Application Review Team charged with making a recommendation on an executive search firm to the common council is recommending the PAR Group to help find the next city manager. The recommendation will be made at the Feb. 12th council meeting. The meeting is at 6:00 p.m., in the Council Chambers, 4th Floor City Hall.

The three executive search firm proposals submitted to the city are available on the city's Web site. For your convenience, I have provided direct links below.

PAR Group: Proposal and Price Proposal; PAR Group Web site
PAA: Proposal and Price Proposal; PAA Web site
Slavin Management Consultants: Proposal and Price Proposal; SMC Web site

I welcome your comments on the recommendation. Do you agree? Would you have recommended a different firm? I look forward to hearing from you.

This is your job not mine! Who has time to read all of this?

  • YES YES YES PAR? Excellent choice! the Recruitment Consultant Application Review Team has made a commendable decision.
Who can argue with 34 years of experience in the industry?
Who can argue with a satisfied customer like the city of Moline who has worked with PAR multiple times.
There is no substitute for experience and customer satisfaction.
These can’t be measured by $$. The council should recognize this as the BEST choice for the city and allow us to move the process forward with confidence. Let’s move forward with our new partner,
    Welcome Aboard PAR.

  • Anonymous 2/9: 5:35 PM proves you just can't please some people no matter what you do. People in this community bitch when things aren't made public or when their opinions aren't sought. But when the information is provided and input is asked for, jerks like this one feel they have to get snotty. Or maybe that's just their natural behavior.

Bryan, please don't let naysayers and idiots like that person change what you're doing. They do not speak for nor represent the public at large. They represent an angry individual who feels jilted by life and is never satisfied.
