Federal tax dollars

Check this out: http://natprior.org/auxiliary/somePdfs/taxday2005/wi.pdf (requires Adobe Acrobat Reader).

Of every single income tax dollar, the federal government spends $0.30 on military and defense and $0.19 on interest on debt, yet it spends only $0.04 on education, $0.02 on housing and less than $0.01 on job training. Really?!?

The city will spend almost $0.26 per dollar on debt services in 2006, down 0.2% from 2005. The city will also spend $0.17 per dollar on police, $0.17 on fire and ambulance and almost $0.13 on public works.
