Fishing
The Oshkosh Northwestern and WFRV both have excellent stories on how important fishing on the Lake Winnebago System is to our economy - it generates over $220 million in spending and supports over 4,000 jobs! Yet another reason to support redevelopment of our riverfront.

Very few if any are against development on the river. The dispute comes when you talk about how it will be developed and how it will be paid for.

Very good point! There should be (and I support) healthy debate as to how the riverfront will be developed and how it will be paid for/who will pay for it.
